China–Australia Biotech Collaboration Session at BIOCHINA2026

Initiated by Boson Ventures, BIOCHINA2026 will host a dedicated session focused on fostering cross-border biotech collaboration between China and Australia. The session brings together investors, research leaders, and industry experts to explore opportunities for innovation, partnership, and global scaling.

The session will take place on March 12, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 in Suzhou.

Keynote (10:00–10:15)

Australian Biotech Ecosystem: Trends, Exit Pathways, and Emerging Collaboration Models

Betty Zhang, Investment Manager (Healthcare) at Boson Ventures, will provide an investor’s perspective on the trajectory of Australia’s biotech innovation. She will highlight emerging collaboration models and investment opportunities that are gaining traction.

Panel Discussion (10:15–11:00)

From Research to Partnership: Navigating China–Australia Biotech Collaboration

Panelists include Professor Jian Li from Monash University, Dr. Anne-Laure Puaux from WEHI Ventures / Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, Dr. Marthe D’Ombrain from CSL, Stuart Dignam from MTPConnect, and Dr. Anushi Rajapaska from Misti. The discussion will provide practical insights for startups and innovators on engaging with international partners, accessing capital, and successfully scaling biotech solutions across borders.
